The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME)
is an independent organisation working with diverse partners to help them unlock post-mine transitions.
With a unique long-term program of over 70 projects, we work through our partnership to guide investment and collaborative action to deliver new knowledge and data, as well as tested strategies, tools and frameworks to support better post-mine social, economic and environmental outcomes.
CRC TiME is supported by the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science and Resources Cooperative Research Centre Program, in addition to the financial and in-kind contributions of more than 75 partners across Australia.
Biologic
Biologic is Western Australia’s largest biodiversity consultancy. Established in 2007, our team of more than 100 in-house ecologists, botanists, zoologists, geneticists and geologists delivers evidence-based solutions for clients tackling complex biodiversity and conservation challenges. We provide a complete range of biodiversity services, including biological surveys, monitoring programs, genetic studies, ecological restoration and environmental impact assessment. Representatives from Biologic Seed and our Molecular Systematics team will be at the conference to showcase innovative seed treatments, storage and seeding technologies, alongside genetics and environmental DNA (eDNA) applications that support biodiversity monitoring and successful restoration outcomes.
Joining us is Emergence EcoTech, a Western Australian startup developing seeding and seed-enhancement technologies for large-scale ecosystem restoration projects. Together, we are advancing restoration outcomes through science, innovation and practical delivery.

Alcoa Australia’s Forest Research Centre builds on more than 50 years of research and development that guides the continuous improvement in the ways Alcoa manages and rehabilitates the land before, during, and after mining. The centre focuses on research programs covering fauna management, biodiversity enhancement, rehabilitation delivery, and water stewardship, and incorporates Traditional Owner two-way science knowledge.
Since commencing in January 2025, the centre has continued an ambitious portfolio of co-designed research, including internal and collaborative projects, to support operational decision making and long-term stewardship of the areas where Alcoa operates.
Ecology & Restoration Australia (ERA)
Ecology & Restoration Australia (ERA) is a rapidly growing ecological consultancy, with a focus on ecological restoration and resilience, including surveys and assessments of invasive and threatened flora and fauna species and communities, habitat creation, habitat restoration, and conservation management.
We take a strong science-based approach to projects, and have a practical, “real-world” understanding of ecological restoration and conservation management. ERA offers unique services in terms of having a fully integrated ecology team who work closely with our in-house arborist team, to undertake a variety of restoration and habitat creation projects.

The Local Native Seed Company is an Australian company focused on collecting, growing and supplying local native seed for restoration projects - from small plantings to large landscape-scale projects, we keep it local.

Wilderlab
Wilderlab provides full tree-of-life environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding services across freshwater, marine, and terrestrial environments. Using more than 13 assays per sample, we detect biodiversity across the tree of life, from microbes and invertebrates to fish, plants, and mammals, using simple, low-cost sampling methods. Our rapid reporting and broad species coverage support environmental baselines, impact assessments, biosecurity programs, and long-term monitoring, helping industry, consultants, researchers, and government agencies make informed decisions for biodiversity management.

The ARC Training Centre for Healing Country (‘Healing Country’) builds a robust science-business interface that links Indigenous Australians to vibrant and resilient businesses in the revegetation of damaged lands that reconnects communities to healthy landscapes to create ongoing financial independence through the carbon economy, seed supply, cultural significant species development and restoration services. The ARC Centre delivers over 20 Higher degree by Research and Post Doctoral projects guided by an Indigenous Board and Cultural Advisory Council to ensure Indigenous-led research fosters a future where Indigenous practitioners and emerging leaders can deliver cost-effective restoration business solutions at the scale and diversity required to service future demand.

Community-based planning

● Supported Aboriginal groups to secure ranger grant funding for new and established teams, including $3.1 million to expand a Sea Country ranger program.
Environmental and restoration planning
● Developed an emergency preparedness and response plan for natural capital in the South Coast NRM region, one of WA's biodiversity hotspots.
● Developed a restoration plan for a riparian revegetation project in Clare Valley, South Australia.
Research and policy
● Developed policy proposals to increase Aboriginal Nations access to, and benefit from, forest management and land use changes in WA.
